Today we celebrated Valentine's Day and our 100th day of school! Students enjoyed sharing Valentine cards and treats. We saw a lot of very creative Valentine boxes throughout the building. Students celebrated the 100th day of school in many ways. Some students celebrated by dressing like they were 100 years old, sharing a collection of 100 items with their classmates and making crowns with 100 stickers on them.

4th graders are rocking 3D printing!

Third grade students in Ms. Gabriels class made fraction pizzas to realize how fractions are everywhere. :)

Mrs. Wagners students explore Tinkercad in STEAM.

Please share! We are looking for dedicated employees who love working with children!

Leaders of the Pack for January named at North Elementary School

This First Grade Crew showed up bright and early this morning to begin constructing their day! Mrs. Smith's class stayed busy learning, using construction style building materials to build words, solve math equations and measure. Students had fun using small toy equipment to play in kenetic sand. Each student designed and colored a paper hard hat. This little construction crew worked hard today in their bright orange safety vests and shiny yellow hard hats.

Birch Run Area Schools will be closed today, Jan. 24

Did you hear about the "Snow Day" the students in Mrs. Gohs' first grade class had last Friday? This "Snow Day" was packed full of fun. Activities included building donut snowmen for measuring, shaving cream writing and special snow painting.

Mrs. Hillaker's classes and Mrs. Smith's classes from the high school joined together to play math games!

BWell is partnering with CMU for the Shocks and Saves charity hockey game on January 27th. All the proceeds are going to help with funding for the Pulse 3 Endowment, to provide cardiac health in the community. Birch Run Area Schools has recently received an AED from the Pulse 3 Endowment, which is very appreciated!

We had a very special visitor at North Elementary today! Jiji spent part of the day visiting with students and staff. Jiji is very proud that our students are working so hard to reach their ST Math goals.

Just a reminder: Wednesday, January 17th is Popcorn/Spirit Stick Day!
