Today is a great day to read a good book! Student Council members, the Birch Run PTO, and the Rotary Club of Birch Run unveiled the new book vending machine. Students will be able to earn tokens to get books through the PBIS program. A special thank you to these volunteer organizations for funding the books! Great job to Student Council for fundraising to purchase the machine! Heidii Periard first had the vision for the program. Her memorial contributions were used to purchase books. Her legacy will live on as she continues to spread the love of literature to children.

Mrs. Schaeff's second graders enjoyed a Math Scavenger Hunt outside on Earth Day!

Math Update from North Elementary

Farmer Randy made his annual visit to help our preschool students learn about farming. The big red tractor is always a hit. Students also received a treat of Better Made potato chips! Thank you Farmer Randy!

Despite the colder temperatures, 4th grade students recently enjoyed a visit to Hartley Outdoor Education Center. The visit was filled with hands-on outdoor learning and memorable experiences. Students learned outdoor survival skills and worked together to build shelters. The Confidence Course gave students the opportunity to problem solve and attempt completing activities within the course. After outdoor classes were done for the day students got to relax and play inside.

The Kindergarten classrooms have been incubating chicks! They hatched!
