The Birch Run High School Forensics Team held its home tournament on Saturday and hosted 28 teams from across the State of Michigan.
Birch Run High School Finalists for the tournament were: Keira Little, 2nd Place Dramatic Interp; Alix Mampaey, 5th Place Extemporaneous Speaking; Chloe Johnstin, 6th Place Impromptu.
Semifinalists for the tournament were: Taryn Adamczyk, Oratory; Mason Menosky, Informative; Alaina Arnold, Prose; Clarie Schmidt, Program Oral Interp; Jenna-Lyn Nettleton, Program Oral Interp; Serena Carmona, Storytelling; Natalie Spencer, Storytelling; Lily Armentrout, Poetry; Myla Lasley, Broadcasting.

Birch Run Cheer wins again!


Another competition, another win for our Lady Panther Cheerleaders! BRHS Cheer brings home first place in Division 3 at Lake Fenton's Winter Cheer Invitational.


Our Lady Panthers traveled to Holly on Feb. 12th and defeated the Bronchos 32-27.


We are excited to host Competitive Cheerleading Districts here at Birch Run on Friday! As with all MHSAA tournament events, tickets must be purchased electronically. No passes or cash will be accepted at the door.

Our hard working wrestlers took to the mat this morning, taking part in the Individual District Championships - their first step in the 2024 individual side of the post season. 7 of our Panthers finished in the top 4 in this tournament, earning a spot at Regionals next weekend.


Another first place finish for BRHS Competitive Cheer! This time they took home the gold at the Battle Creek "Black Out" competition.

Birch Run Competitive Cheer competed in its last TVC meet before moving to a new conference next year and went out with a Bang! The Panther varsity squad won its sixth straight TVC Championship in record fashion, with the Marshall Greene Middle School team also bringing home the championship trophy, their third straight!


(Feb, 7, 2024) Birch Run High School is set to host MHSAA Team Wrestling Districts this evening. As a reminder, no passes of any sort will be accepted for MHSAA tournament events. Birch Run students will not be offered free admission either. All tickets must be purchased online or by credit card at the door. CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Coach Cornman was inducted into the Frankenmuth Softball Association Hall of Fame on February 3rd. Congratulations, Coach!


BRHS Wrestling has a strong performance at the TVC individual championship tournament. All together, we placed 7 of the 12 wrestlers that we entered. As a team, we finished as the runner up in the TVC Red division, and 4th place in the TVC overall.
We hit the mat at home for Team Districts on Wednesday, as we start our post season run. Make sure you come out to support our Panthers as we work toward a District Title!


Another great showing for Birch Run Cheer! BRHS and MGMS Cheer take home first place at the Powers Catholic Invite. Way to go, ladies!


The votes are in. Abby Carroll is our Athlete of the Month for January!
Abby is a senior leader on our very successful competitive cheerleading team. Abby and her teammates have swept all three TVC competitions this winter season, finishing first each time. Abby participates in all three of the team's competitive rounds, showcasing her well-rounded skillset. On top of all of that, Abby is also a great student, currently carrying a 4.053 GPA.


Congrats to the 2024 BRHS Snowcoming Queen Grace Clark and King Tim Brown!



Carrying just a 46-41 lead into the final period, Birch Run outscored Byron 33-14 in the fourth quarter to pull away and secure a 79-55 victory over the Eagles. Jaxon Martinus led the Panthers with 39 points!
The JV squad also won by a score of 69-36.


BRHS is excited to announce our January Students of the Month are Wyatt Stevens and Meredith Moultane! Students earn this recognition from the high school staff for their commitment to a positive work ethic, willingness to assist, and role model qualities. Thank you Meredith and Wyatt, for being great student role models!
