Nova has been spending some time in Mrs. Tanner's room acclimating to students and North!

Did you spot our new therapy dog in the parade with Mrs. Martindale? Nova, our district therapy dog, who travels between
Birch Run High School and North Elementary, enjoyed her first homecoming assembly and parade. She would like to thank her "mentor" Roomie for showing her the ropes!"

The cheerleaders stayed and performed some cheers for North at the end of the assembly! Homecoming week was a lot of fun! Good luck to our Panthers tonight! ⭐️

A big thank you to our cheerleaders for coming to North to do face painting! Everyone is showing their Panther Pride!

Whooo! It was a hot day at the beach! HOCO '25.

Dear Birch Run & surrounding area community,
We would like to host our first career fair for families to enjoy. We need a wide variety of jobs displayed on table tops with presenters sitting at each to discuss the jobs. We would love all kinds of jobs both trades driven and careers related to degrees. You would need signage/poster about your job and any other table top displays/pictures you would like. See our flyer for more information. We could accomodate work vehicles in the bus loop- exavators, garbage trucks, tractors, police vehicles, EMT, fire, etc, if anyone would rather post outside. We want this to be a really fun night- please volunteer! You do not need to be a parent to participate- please share on your FB pages. Sign up here to help present your field: https://forms.gle/RR9wgvaUWJZTAZHa6

Remember- this year we are rotating Specials daily. Fourth graders have spent the last two weeks working on basketball skills with Mrs. Periard, our new gym teacher. 🏀

Time to show your Panther Pride! Wear Blue and Gold Day on Friday for the Panther Fall Kickoff Classic! Go Panthers!

What a great Day 1! Look at this team- still smiling at the end of an amazing day! Thank you for all the support and supplies you sent! We loved getting to know your child today!

We can't wait to see you tomorrow! Drop off starts at 8:45.

Thanks to a wonderful grant we were able to add a third GSRP classroom this year. Miss Krista Berg will now be teaching GSRP. Her classroom received a makeover! The students are going to enjoy this new furniture, carpet, magnet station, light table, alternative seating, blocks, toys, dolls, kitchen, art station, and so many new books.

Good news- the postcards and envelopes are at the Post Office ready to be mailed tomorrow! It's our favorite time of year! A huge thank you to Mrs. Jones as it is a LOT of work entering 690 kids into Skyward for their new classes, printing labels, and stickering & stamping all of these pieces of mail. Students can start checking the mail later in the week.
We have several new students who will not be receiving their class assignment in the mail because they are missing documents yet. We have emailed you and attempted to call you to remind you. Your child is not fully enrolled until we have all of the documents that have been requested. We understand that you are busy, but we definitely need these items before the first day of school, or your student will be unable to start on time. We are unable to enter them into skyward and put them in a class until we have that legally. We don't want any of our friends disappointed. So please check your emails- if this is an issue contact the office tomorrow and stop up with your documentation.

We also need teacher subs for the 2025-2026 school year! Are you looking for flexible employment? This is a great job- helpful staff and happy kids! Sign up at Willsub.com. Teacher substitutes need 60 college credit hours to apply. Do not delay- the process can take 2-3 weeks to get signed up.

The school year is approaching, we need support staff substitutes! Do you have a day open in your week that you would like to make some extra money? Are you looking for a flexible work day that would fit into your family's schedule? We'd love to have you substitute at North! Support Staff subs need a high school diploma/GDE. No experience needed. You sign up to sub on days that fit your schedule! Sign up at willsub.com- don't delay, the process is online and can take 2-3 weeks to get started. We have lots of opportunities for you- if you wanted, it could turn into 25-40 hour week for you! It can be as little or as much as you like!
